The Church of England’s Ethical Investment Advisory Group (EIAG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Nelson, CEO and Chair of Vodafone Hungary, to the Group.
Amanda Nelson EIAG Member

Amanda has worked for Vodafone for 20 years, in various roles including Chief Finance Officer and Head of Business development at Vodafone Netherlands and Chief Executive Officer and Chair of Vodafone Malta, and global experience in Japan and New Zealand.

Amanda is a keen advocate of diversity and inclusion and women’s equality.

The EIAG provides ethical investment advice to the three Church of England National Investing Bodies (NIBs), which includes the Church Commissioners for England, the Church of England Pensions Board and CCLA, investment manager for the Church of England CBF Funds, to enable them to invest in a way that is distinctly Christian and Anglican.

Barbara Ridpath, Chair of the EIAG, commented:
“We are delighted to have Amanda joining the EIAG, bringing with her a wealth of international experience and knowledge of a thriving communications business. Amanda has a strong faith and is engaging about how this informs her current work and her desire to help the Church’s mission.

“We very much look forward to working with her and hearing her unique perspective on the issues with which we address.”

Amanda became an EIAG member earlier this month.

The EIAG's membership includes a rich mix of theological, Church, investment and business experience. Independent Members are appointed after an open process, overseen by the EIAG's Nominations Committee.
