More choice of church wedding
In 2008 the Church of England changed its law so that a
couple can marry in a church away from where they live because
it has special significance for them through family or other
Resources such as displays are now available for dioceses and
churches to use.
The possibility of women being admitted to the orders of deacon,
priest and bishop has been on the Church of England's agenda since
at least 1966 when Women and Holy Orders was produced
for the Church Assembly.
