Checking you are receiving your pension safely

As you live outside the UK, we want to keep in touch with you once a year to check you are receiving your pension safely and to prevent fraud. This is called a ‘proof of life’ check.

Follow these steps to complete your check.

Step 1

If you are doing this for the first time, you'll need to register with Crown Agents Bank's EMpower Pensions site.

Once you've registered you can log in and complete your check.

Before you get started...

  • ensure you are in a bright or naturally lit room (with no window behind you)
  • ensure that there is no glare on the screen
  • your face is not covered

And have your passport, driver's license or photographic identity card ready.
