Parish Share Survey 2023
During 2023 the National Giving Team are compiling a report on parish share to identify best practice and factors that lead to sustainable levels of support for parish share. The focus of this research will primarily be on the factors that support a successful system as opposed to what type of system is the most effective.
This report will provide recommendations that dioceses can adopt to improve parish share regardless of the system that they run. The report will be presented at the Inter-Diocesan Finance Forum in October 2023, following which dioceses can request a bespoke report to be presented to diocesan leadership during the early part of 2024. This report will be tailored to each diocese and will dig deeper into what shared learning could enhance how a system is run in that locality.

How will we use your responses?
We won’t use any of your written responses in the report without your consent. We will identify key themes and factors from all responses and use 10 years of parish share data to see how they impact parish share receipts. Additionally, we will be running focus groups in the summer to gather qualitative data that might otherwise be missed. You can indicate interest in taking part in these at the end of the survey.
