We give grants of up to £5,000 for conservation reports for objects of artistic, historical or archaeological significance in Anglican parish churches in England. A conservation report is an essential tool in the management of cultural property and is usually required for faculty and grant applications. We give groundwork grants of up to £5,000 for specialist investigations related to the conservation of objects, including:

  • Building performance surveys

  • Environmental surveys or monitoring

  • Reports by structural engineers

Technical analyses such as paint or pigment analysis, mortar analysis, and salt analysis

These grants are offered in partnership with the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Pilgrim Trust, and the Gunnis Fund. Decisions are notified within 2 weeks of application.
