Our challenge to churches (which we've been running over July and August – there's still a few days left to take part) has been to share a photo or video of a door at your church, perhaps using the power of storytelling to share some history or information about it too.
The Church of England hosts an incredible range of beautiful buildings, each with their own rich history. Church doors stand out because they’re the way in, an invitation to both strangers and familiar churchgoers. We know church is more than just a building, but the door can be a powerful symbol.
Here's ten doors/ posts that we've enjoyed so far.
1. Hull Minster: North and West Doors

3. Diocese in Europe: Church of St John and St Philip
5. Medieval history at Wells Cathedral
6. Etched glass window light at Birmingham Cathedral
7. A (video) walking tour at Lincoln Cathedral
8. A cathedral carousel

We had a great response to the #ChurchDoorChallenge – we saw over 400 posts about the campaign. We've shared just a small selection above, but you can see even more doors by searching the hashtag #ChurchDoorChallenge on social media.
