A set of resources is now available for use at the informal diocesan consultations on the LLF draft proposals. Together, these provide an update from the LLF Programme Board on draft proposals that could serve as a possible way forward in the LLF process. Feedback from the informal diocesan consultations and other key stakeholders will be brought to the College and House of Bishops for consideration. This will help refine and develop the final proposals which, if supported by the House of Bishops, will be brought to General Synod in 2026.

The resources include two update leaflets: the first one gives a general update on the process to date, and details key aspects of the draft proposals for the use of the Prayers of Love and Faith (PLF) including in standalone services, and the accompanying proposed pastoral reassurance. The second leaflet provides more detail on the theological work to date by the Faith and Order Commission and the Episcopal Reference Group.

Additionally, a video is available to provide further information and updates on the LLF process.

Guidance on how to hold LLF conversations at Diocesan Synods is also included, offering practical advice and detailed questions for facilitating discussions and gathering feedback.

Lastly, you might find this short reflection from the lead Bishop on LLF, the Right Reverend Martyn Snow, helpful when you consider the draft proposals.

The resources can be accessed and downloaded via the Church of England website. Should you have any questions or require further assistance, please contact the LLF team via [email protected].
