Kirkby Green is a small rural village situated on the B1191, approx. 10 miles south east of Lincoln and approx. 9 miles north of Sleaford. The former church of Kirkby Green Holy is a small Victorian Gothic church, which is listed Grade II and stands in an elevated central position within the village, to the south of the B1191 off Church Lane.
The building was rebuilt in 1848, on the site of a 12th century church, and stands centrally in a large churchyard, which is elevated from Church Lane to the west. The closed church is built in limestone rubble under a pitched slate roof, it has a nave and chancel under a single roof with a western porch and a bellcote.
Access is currently on foot only across the churchyard from a gate in the north west corner and by a footpath from Main Street.
