The amended draft Scheme provides for the proposed creation of a new benefice and parish of Saint Mark Coventry, the closed church of St. Mark to brought back into use and associated matters.
A draft Scheme was issued on the 24 August 2024 for the closed church of Saint Mark to be restored to use as a parish church for the
new benefice of Saint Mark Coventry. This draft Scheme did not provide for the “land annexed or belonging” to the church to also be vested in the incumbent and would result in the land and building being in different ownerships which is not intended. This amended draft Scheme now includes both the building of Saint Mark together with the land annexed or belonging to. There are no other changes to the draft Scheme.
