The Anglican church in England and Wales is one of 15 investigations being looked at by IICSA, the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse, chaired by Professor Jay.

There have been three hearings to date:
March 2018 - case study into Chichester Diocese
July 2018 - Bishop Peter Ball case
July 2019 - wider hearing into Church of England and Church in Wales

An interim report into the Chichester and Peter Ball case studies was published in May 2019. The full and final report from IICSA is expected later in 2020.
