The Church of England believes that by working with other Churches and faiths, we can have a greater impact in our communities and on society as a whole.

Over the summer of 2024, Commission member David French convened a residential meeting with a focus on encouraging learning about relating well to each other as early as possible in a child’s life. David has written a summary of the meeting and this blog.

As part of the whole Church of God, the Church of England seeks to work with other Churches and make visible our unity as the Body of Christ.  We are therefore committed to build better relationships with other Christians locally, nationally and globally.

Ambleside Methodists took the brave decision to give up their building to go on a new journey with the Anglicans. This allowed their old building to be turned into social housing, while creating a new community centre and keeping both churches going.

Presence and Engagement (P&E) is about equipping Christians for today’s multi-faith world. We believe the Church must remain present in diverse areas, and engage positively with other faiths.

The Revd Dylan Turner has been appointed to the newly-created position of Anglican Communion Relations Officer.
