NEWS / The Bishop of Crediton, Sarah Mullally, has today responded to, at the request of the survivor, the findings and recommendations of a report - the Elliott Review - into alleged sexual abuse committed by senior figures in the Church of England.

The Church of England is investing in a ground-breaking programme of safeguarding training and resources, created especially for children and young people.

The Sexual Offences Act 2003 has been amended to include a new section 22A which expands “Position of Trust” offences to include anyone who is coaching, teaching, training, supervising or instructing in a sport or a religion.
