Following the establishment of the National Safeguarding Team in 2015 - replacing a 0.5 national post - the Archbishops' Council has recently reviewed its structure and after consultation will be advertising for a Director of Safeguarding.

NEWS / Rachel Harden, Deputy Director of Communications for the Church of England, is to have her contribution to the church recognised as she is made a Lay Canon of Liverpool Cathedral during the Evensong Service on Friday (December 9).

General Synod has thanked the authors of a report proposing possible changes to the governance structures of the Church of England’s National Church Institutions.

Nearly 30,000 serving ministers, both lay and ordained, are being encouraged to hold at least one conversation a month about vocation with someone different from themselves, in a campaign launched by the Church of England.

Members of the House of Bishops, Church Commissioners Board & Archbishops’ Council have heard the concerns of General Synod and others over recent days, following the Archbishops’ Council decision not to proceed with the Racial Justice Task Force’s recommendation to appoint and fund a Racial Justice Officer for each one of our 42 dioceses.
