The Church Commissioners for England has agreed a 15-year lease with the National Theatre for a 36,000 sq. ft. warehouse in South Bermondsey, London, to promote the sustainable reuse and recycling of the theatre company’s costumes, props and scenery. 

The report follows an interim announcement in June 2022, which reported for the first time, and with great dismay, that the Church Commissioners’ endowment had historic links to transatlantic chattel slavery*

An influential $2 trillion group of investors, led by the Church of England Pensions Board and Swedish national pension fund AP7, have today challenged 55 large European companies on their approach to climate lobbying.
