Work out your church’s carbon footprint to help care for God’s creation 

One in 14 Church of England churches are now reporting “net zero” carbon emissions, according to the latest data from the Energy Footprint Toolkit (EFT).

New data reveals that more than 3,000 churches are using a tool created by the Church of England to understand their carbon footprint.

The Energy Toolkit allows dioceses, cathedrals and church schools to find out their 'carbon footprint'. 

The Church of England’s Energy Footprint Tool is now open for churches to enter energy use from 2024. 

The Church of England launches energy rating system similar to those used for household appliances for church buildings as General Synod considers a major new proposal to reach ‘net zero’ CO2 emissions.
