NEWS / Church Commissioners announce new Head of Public Equities

The Church Commissioners for England, a leading responsible investor, has today been recognised for Excellence in ESG by the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA).

The Church Commissioners for England, which manages the Church of England’s endowment fund, delivered a 5% return in 2022, a robust performance in the face of challenging market conditions.

The Church Commissioners for England, which manages the Church of England’s endowment fund, delivered a 4.1% return in 2023, marking the fifteenth year of positive returns, with the fund valued at £10.4bn at the end of 2023.

The Church Commissioners for England is inviting applications to join the Oversight Group that will help to design and establish a new impact investment fund, being set up in response to research showing its predecessor fund had links to transatlantic chattel slavery.
