Further studies into aspects of church growth commissioned on behalf of the Archbishops’ Council. Fresh expressions, young adults, messy church, perceptions of Jesus, Christians and evangelism.

The Church Growth Research Programme explored some of the factors that might explain church growth in the Church of England. 

The Church Buildings Council has carried out research on struggling churches. This comes out of our work on church buildings where there is a concern about their future as local centres of worship and mission and where closure is being considered.

Faith in Research is an annual conference hosted by the Data Services unit, providing opportunities to hear and discuss current research on the Church.

Living Ministry Research.

The findings of the research provide rich and wide-ranging insights into church growth in the Church of England.

Panel members bring expertise in ministerial practice and formation and in supporting learners to study theology at research degree level.

The church has always been involved in higher education through university chaplaincy, higher education policy and more. 

Our community guidelines have been created to encourage conversations that reflect our values. They apply to all content posted on the national social media accounts run by the Church of England, the Archbishop of Canterbury and Archbishop of York.
