General Synod today voted on the next steps following the publication of independent reports on safeguarding

NEWS / The Bishop of Bath and Wells, Peter Hancock, the Church of England’s lead safeguarding bishop addressed February’s Synod on national developments and the Church’s preparation for the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse, IICSA.

General Synod has voted to approve the Safeguarding and Learning Development Framework as a Code of Practice which sets out details of the Church’s safeguarding learning pathways, for the next three years.
