The Church of England has today launched new resources to help churches to take part in ‘Generosity Week.’ 

The Church of England Pensions Board today published its 2023 Stewardship Report, focusing on four key themes: Systemic Stewardship, Investing for a Sustainable World, Investing For a Just World, and Good Governance.

The Church Commissioners for England, which manages the Church of England’s endowment fund, delivered a 4.1% return in 2023, marking the fifteenth year of positive returns, with the fund valued at £10.4bn at the end of 2023.

The Church Commissioners for England has today joined a network of like-minded investment managers and asset owners, to engage with, and steward companies through, digital governance best practices – an urgent concern in an increasingly digitalized society. 

The Church Commissioners for England, who manage assets worth £8.7bn, including large land holdings in the UK, are the first investor to join a new Program to develop a framework that will help businesses tackle nature loss in line with science.

Today in Davos, the Church of England’s three National Investing Bodies (NIBS) representing over £12 billion in assets under management, have joined the United Nations-convened Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance.

New core materials including nine daily podcasts are now available to enable congregations to take part in Generosity Week.
