General Synod today voted in support of next steps on safeguarding independence as outlined in a paper presented to Synod from the Church of England’s lead safeguarding bishop, Joanne Grenfell.

Safeguarding data has been published today taken from annual safeguarding returns, collected by dioceses in 2018 and sent to the National Safeguarding Team.

Ensuring that safeguarding activity is appropriately reviewed so that the learning which emerges is used to drive improved safeguarding behaviours and outcomes.
