Canon Sarah Clark, the Archdeacon of Nottingham, is to be next Bishop of Jarrow in the Diocese of Durham, Downing Street has announced.
Originally from an ex-mining community in South Wales, Sarah worked as a civil servant before being ordained in 1998. She has held her current post since 2014.
