Podcast: Minority ethnic clergy and the Church
2016 saw the Church appoint a national minority ethnic vocations officer to improve Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) representation among paid clergy.
In this Renewal and Reform podcast, we speak to those responsible for supporting BAME people as they follow their calling to ordained ministry.
Partly recorded on location at an annual conference organised for people of BAME heritage hoping to become members of the clergy, this podcast will also hear from those right at the start of their clerical journey.
We also speak to BAME clergy about their experiences in the Church, and ask their advice to those seeking to follow a similar path.
