Elections to the Pensions Board

In autumn 2017, nominations are being sought to fill four of the twelve elected places on the Pensions Board.

These are as follows -

- two members of the clergy pension schemes (elected by the General Synod's House of Clergy)

- one member of the General Synod's House of Laity

- one person elected by the employers participating in either the Church Workers Pension Fund or the Church Administrators Pension Fund

In addition, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York will be appointing two members of the Pensions Board. We will be using search consultants to assist us with these.

We take diversity within the Board's membership seriously and see a wide ranging diviersity at Board level as an important element in achieving our purpose, vision and values.

Currently, women, the minority and ethnic communities and people under the age of 45 are underrepresented within the Board's membership. We would like to redress this.

We would also welcome nominations of women priests for the places elected by the House of Clergy.
