The Communications Office at Church House, Westminster, provides a 24-hour, seven day a week service on behalf of the National Church Institutions, including the Archbishops' Council, the Church Commissioners and the Church of England Pensions Board.

Rev Arun Arora - Director of Communications Arun is a former employment lawyer who served as Diocesan Communications Officer and Bishop's Press Officer in the Diocese of Birmingham (his home town) before training for ordination at Cranmer Hall, Durham. He served his curacy at St. Marks Harrogate and was Director of Communications for the Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu. He ran a Fresh Expression Pioneer church in Wolverhampton before taking up his current role in 2012.

Rachel Harden Deputy Director of Communications
Leading on media development working closely with Lambeth, Bishopthorpe and dioceses. Rachel runs the media team and leads on a range of issues including safeguarding. Claire Barraclough Deputy Director of Communications (Finance)
Claire has joined the communications team to support the work of the Church Commissioners and Pensions Board. She provides communications advice on a wide range of issues and leads on financial communications. Claire was previously Director of Communications and philanthropy, Europe at American Express and prior to that worked at Towers Watson. Claire has a BA from Cardiff University and is fluent in French and German.

Martha Linden small

Martha Linden Senior Media Officer
Martha focuses on the CofE's work on parliamentary and public affairs, across a broad range of issues including banking reform, foodbanks, prisons, medical ethics, international affairs and domestic policy.  She also works on media for the Church Urban Fund. Martha has a background in journalism and previously worked for the Press Association for 16 years.

Anna Small


Anna McCrum Senior Media Officer
Anna leads on media enquiries regarding cathedrals and church buildings and works as part of a team on other areas including education matters and research and statistics. A qualified solicitor, Anna has worked in communications in the legal profession as well as for the Church of England, as Diocesan Communications Officer at St Albans Diocese and more recently at St Albans Cathedral. Anna holds an MA in Geography from Oxford University.

Tim Mayo Media and PR Officer
Tim supports the work of the Church Commissioners and Pensions Board, providing day-to-day press, digital and social media support. Tim joined the Communications Office in 2013, having studied Communication and Media at Bournemouth University, and worked for various charities and a theological college.

Talitha Proud Digital Media Officer
As Digital Media officer, Tallie is responsible for the organisation's social media accounts including Facebook and Twitter alongside updating the Church of England website when necessary. With a background in photography and design she will be co-ordinating with internal departments and working with dioceses on their digital media needs. She previously worked in communications for Chichester Diocese.

Nardine Soloman Marketing Officer
Nardine's responsibilities include coordinating the media and communications training programme for Bishops and managing a portfolio of media workshops and seminars attended by Church and Charity sector employees nationally. Nardine has previously held events & marketing positions for leading charities, educational bodies and media organisations. She originally studied philosophy at university and has taught in sixth form and adult education colleges.

Ben Hollebon

Ben Hollebon Media Officer
As Media Officer, Ben's responsibilities revolve around supporting the Communications Office with creative input and design work, as well as being involved in digital communications. His background is in Marketing and Digital Design, previously working for Memralife Group who run Spring Harvest and Youthwork the conference.

Chis Le Marquand Communications Officer
Chris is part of the Communications team focusing on issues relating to the Church Commissioners and Pensions Board. He previously headed up communications for a network of churches, and before that worked in parliament and public affairs. He has a degree in History from Oxford University.

Suzanne is Projects Officer for the Projects and Developments team, which is running the Baptisms and Funerals projects and also the continuing work on the Weddings Project. Previously she worked in marketing for a music examination board and for the National Blood Service.
