The draft Scheme provides for the proposed dissolution of benefice of Cheddleton, etc., and the transfer of constituent parishes to other benefices.

As representations have been received against the draft Scheme, the Commissioners' Mission, Pastoral and Church Property Committee held a public hearing on 2nd May 2024. Since the hearing, the Commissioners have been considering their decision. They decided that the Scheme should be allowed to proceed, notwithstanding the representations made against it. Its decision in writing has been posted above, with an accompanying notice, and has been sent to the representors and statutory interested parties.
All correspondence received by the Commissioners will be treated as public correspondence.
