Presence and Engagement Hubs
We have hubs in four areas of the country. They each have their own staff and run different projects, but these all reflect the ethos of P&E.
St Philip’s Centre is a Christian-led interfaith organisation based in Leicester. They work to build understanding, respect, trust and cooperation among people from different backgrounds. Their work includes courses for churches of all denominations, education for students and teachers in schools and colleges, and training for the public and private sector, including the police and the army. They are also home to Near Neighbours for Leicester and Nottingham, and the local Prevent programme.
The Faithful Neighbourhoods Centre (FNC) exists to:
- Provide a space where people of all faiths and none can meet
- Resource Christians living in a multi-faith society
- Support people to find ways of working together which improve their local areas.
The FNC is home to a range of projects and activities. Each reflects the centre’s commitment to community regeneration and interfaith relationships.
Faithful Neighbours (formerly Bradford Churches for Dialogue and Diversity) is the name for Presence & Engagement in the Diocese of Leeds. They provide training courses for clergy and lay people about being a Christian in a multifaith context, with an emphasis on Christian-Muslim Relations.
Diocesan Interfaith Advisers
Most dioceses have a Diocesan Interfaith Adviser. Their role is to support clergy and congregations in their interfaith engagement. Use the dropdown menu below to select your diocese, find out who your adviser is, and send them a message.
