Creating a flood resilient church building

As part of a major re-ordering scheme, Tirley St Michael & All Angels church (Diocese of Gloucester) have introduced an array of flood resilience features. Necessitated by a devastating flood in 2007, the work included repairs, adaptations to the church fabric, and the creation of quick-response plans. While flooding has hit the area since, and will do so in the future, the project outlined in this case study has massively limited the damage, helping to protect the church fabric and its most significant items.
