Preston-next-Faversham St Catherine infra-red chandeliers

In replacement of an oil boiler supplying cast-iron radiators, Preston-next-Faversham St Catherine wanted a more flexible and efficient way to heat the congregation during services. Complexities around the archaeology of the building made it unsuitable for certain technologies, and ultimately infra-red chandeliers were chosen as a solution that was simple, affordable and relatively low carbon.

The seven heaters were put in place during 2019, and since then have gone onto work effectively. The flexible nature of the heating system allows different use patterns for smaller services, seasonally, and for use by the choir. It has also come with a reduction in energy costs for the church, making it a good long term decision.
