A remote church functions off-grid with new solar PV panels and LED lighting

In recent years, St Michaels, Brent Tor (Diocese of Exeter) have overhauled their lighting system, getting rid of gas in favour of renewable electricity. With solar PV panels, the building has become self-sustaining, and by utilising battery technology, they have also been able to host a radio transceiver for Dartmoor Rescue Services, running on the spare electricity capacity.
