I am a mum with a 33-year-old daughter. A teacher of science for 26 years before going into ministry, so I have a degree in Chemistry and a degree in Theology. If only I had pursued a degree in Nursing I could have been called ‘Three degrees!’. I enjoy walking, Indian cooking, dancing, singing, listening to all kinds of music and watching murder mysteries – particularly ‘Death in Paradise.’ I love animals; in the past have had cats, 36 budgerigars, rabbits, cockatiels and recently we have two adorable dogs: Adi and Daisy. Both my husband and I love travelling we have been on a Safari in Uganda, did two missionary trips to Uganda. Had holidays in India, Israel and most of Europe: France, Italy, Greece, Portugal. I became a minister because I love working with large groups of people and wanted more opportunities for sharing the love of Christ.

My teaching experience has opened doors for Messy Church, Café Church, and other Fresh Expressions of being church.

I trained at Ridley theological college and became a curate in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire, later on Associate Priest and now a vicar in Christ Church London. I was brought up in a middle of the road, Anglican Church, but have been privileged to have Catholic (my husband is Catholic), Evangelical and Pentecostal experience. The church of England places us a in a good position to hold out our hands to our fellow Christians in other denominations in a world which does not understand our denominal niceties. I was born in Mombasa and love that word ‘Ubuntu’ which means ‘I am a person only through other persons.’ With this in mind I believe we are called to reach out the love of Jesus to every human being regardless of colour creed, sex, education.
