NEWS / Synod voted today to take note of the report: Guidelines for the Professional Conduct of the Clergy. These are not a legal code but a set of draft guidelines, commended by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, describing what is desirable in the professional conduct of clergy.

Appendix 3 - Expectations regarding the conduct of members of clergy 

QR codes allow givers to make instant donations via their phone or mobile device simply by scanning a special code. They are easy to create and will help improve the giving experience.

As with all the ways we encourage giving within our churches, it is important that everyone abides by the Code of Fundraising Practice.

General Synod has voted to approve new safeguarding codes of practice on; Managing and Reporting Safeguarding Concerns and Allegation and on Religious Communities (deemed approved).

At its April meeting General Synod unanimously approved the draft Safeguarding (Code of Practice) Measure which strengthens and clarifies the obligation to follow safeguarding guidance.
