The Diocese of Newcastle, in the land of the northern saints, is the Church of England’s most northerly diocese. We serve a hugely diverse area: from inner city Newcastle to the deep rural parishes of Northumberland.
You will live with other MES participants in community in Newcastle, and undertake a placement in a city parish. There will also be opportunity to undertake a short placement in one of our rural parishes. The group will reflect together on their different experiences, and study alongside others on a programme of foundational theology. Our scheme also runs alongside the New Wine Discipleship Year, based at St Thomas’ in the city centre.
