Refrain:
All I saw the holy city
coming down out of heaven from God.
1 I saw a new heaven and a new earth, ♦
for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away
and the sea was no more.
2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,
coming down out of heaven from God, ♦
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice from the throne saying, ♦
‘Behold, the dwelling of God is among mortals.
4 ‘He will dwell with them and they shall be his peoples, ♦
and God himself will be with them.
5 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes, ♦
and death shall be no more.
6 ‘Neither shall there be mourning,
nor crying, nor pain any more, ♦
for the former things have passed away.’
7 And the One who sat upon the throne said, ♦
‘Behold, I make all things new.’
Revelation 21.1-5a
All To the One who sits on the throne and to the Lamb ♦
be blessing and honour and glory and might,
for ever and ever. Amen.
All I saw the holy city
coming down out of heaven from God.
