New choices to support clergy with retirement housing

Enabling Choice

Update on Enabling Choice

Thank you to all who shared their feedback with us on our proposals for how the Church might enable choice for future retirees about their housing plans.

This feedback is helping to shape the proposals we are putting into the national Church funding process to be considered alongside other funding priorities in the coming months.  Our hope is to agree investment in the new choices that clergy told us they would value and to safeguard the Church retirement housing offer.

Our aim is to support clergy well, both now and into the future. We are already making improvements to our current services based on your feedback. For instance, in better tailoring the information we give to clergy to help with retirement planning. We are also continuing to cultivate partnerships that might help retirees consider more options around their housing plans.

If you are due to retire in the next 5 years and think that you may need help with housing, please get in touch to [email protected] or 020 7898 1824. We are here to help.
